Why is the number of customers who abandoned the cart in "export data" report is smaller than the number of cart emails sent

The difference can stem from:

  1. The time period - the report shows the number of customers who abandoned for the last x days till the time of the report so if your emails are set to be triggered in 2 hours, customers who abandoned during the last 2 hours will be counted in the report as emails for them are still pending.

  2. Customers who recently purchased during the last 7 days and abandon will not receive an email but will still appear in the report
